The Vesparados, Vespa Club of Santa Barbara, was founded in 1999 by Bobby Weindorf, Ed Easton, Josh Blumer and Dave Van Lue. One day while eating Mexican food in the warm Santa Barbara sun after a long coastal ride, the guys joked about having their own scooter club. The joke became a reality as more and more scooterists showed up to ride.
Bobby, one of the founders and club president, is also the owner of Moto Paradiso/Vespa Santa Barbara. You will often find club members "hanging out" at the shop and picking Bobby's brain for tips and tricks for their vespas - vintage and new.
New members of the Vesparados are always in the making with every Vintage and New Vespa sold at Vespa Santa Barbara. Members of the Vesparados can be found from all walks of life. As one member said, "It is amazing how this chunk of Italian metal can bring people together. I bought my Vespa because I loved it and in turn I gained the friendship of so many wonderful people".
